ENGEL: A multi-media game project

ENGEL is a new entertainment project centered around the RPG of the same
name. It differs from other, more mainstream RPGs insofar as a multitude
of media are being used to tackle the central issue. The creators of
ENGEL, the German publishing house Feder&Schwert, started out with the
fact that it is difficult for gamers/readers/listeners to get attuned to
new, strange game worlds, different ways of thinking, alien technologies
and architectural and fashion news that a completely new entertainment
environment demands. All thought processes led to the same result: ENGEL
is supposed to present its users with the opportunity to unite images,
music and texts to a new imagined world. This means that every user can
explore the world of ENGEL with the comic book and arrive at the
knowledge what an angel and his world look like and what mood the
project is supposed to convey. The ENGEL soundtrack by ITN, to be
released in fall 2001, completes the overall project with sound.
