This EP was the debut appearance of Dolores Marguerite C., who was asked to
narrate, in French, on the song `Elegy'. The track had been inspired by
the 1966 film `The Battle Of Algiers' by director Gillo Pontecorvo and
featured the music of Ennio Morricone. The artwork included text to the
track (subtitled `Against Torture' ) expressing a strong anti-war theme and
was translated into three languages (French, English & German). Recorded
and mixed at The Slaughterhouse, the EP also included `Blind Me', a track
which pays homage to the work of Yukio Mishima whilst fusing together the
musical styles of Film Noir and Philip Glass. The artwork to `Trinity'
featured an elaborate inner sleeve design, the sepia toned photographs of
the band members were shot on location inside St Mary's Catholic Cathedral,
Sheffield.
